  • High neck fill w/ a perfect cork suggests proper storage. Translucent black cherry red robe with light bricking. Light bodied palate of tart cherry, tea, rhubarb, tobacco, licorice and earth which came alive after an hour of slow-o and then continued to evolve finally showing a fine charcoal-smokey quality. The restrained nose eventually also followed suit after 1 1/2 hours and was quite lovely. Not a complex Burg, but certainly enjoyable and xclnt qpr at my recent purchase price of $35. Acidity and fruit speak towards a longer life, but if I had any left I'd drink 'em up now. Almost forgot, 11% alcohol!!!!
