Tasted over 2 hrs -semi-translucent med red with mild bricking -expressive creamy sweet black cherry raspberry and a faint roasted grain note -med+ acidity, med- weight tart vibrant black cherry licorice with mature elements starting to peek in, med tannins with a touch of rusticity -lively and dynamic yet still darker fruited, on mature plateau

I would definitely recommend opening this a while before drinking. I brought it unopened to a restaurant and the first glass was disappointing. As we ate and drank more of the bottle, it opened up to reveal ripe cranberry, baking spices, and new oak-y vanilla. Definitely a lean rendition of Burgundy but this has plenty of life left ahead.

This is a superb wine from Savigny. Dark ruby color. Nose begins sweaty, then sweet perfumed lavender/sandalwood/forest dominates. The lavender and sandalwood notes continue on the palate in support of a beautiful crunchy cherry with a bit of soy on the finish. Excellent.
