Nose: baked red plums, ripe cassis, meaty sweat (by the nose, I would've guessed this was an aged Bandol). Palate: smoked tart red cherries, plum cake, chalk, powdery tannins that give your mouth the sensation of skiing through powder (weird analogy, I know); dryness and raisin on the finish. Honestly, I wanted to like this wine more, but the lack of acid and its raisin-like finish that began to dominate with more time in the glass negatively affected my rating. The next day, everything was completely oxidized and to my tastes undrinkable suggesting my bottle was right at the end of its life.

Big, dark, deep wine. Surprisingly soft, especially on day 2. Holds its alcohol well; integrated. Opened 2 hours ahead, though 1 hour was sufficient. We’ll into secondary phase.

Drinking well at 15 years and still has years to go. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, sandalwood, leather and a touch of vanilla leading to a moderately long finish.

Quite complex, soft, notes of plums, cherries, spices, sweet tobacco, dark flowers, leather. Good acidity on the palate, elegant, good depth and length. 91-93

Inky color, leather , blueberry and oud! Decanted for an hour, opened nicely. Wish I had more in the cellar.
