Definitely some age in the color. Rim has widened and started to brick. No more youthful purplishness.
Smell: Well developed. Very earthy. Banyard. Poop. Animalistic. Very appealing and seductive. Clearly Bordeaux. Some cherry still but not much fruit left on the nose.
Palate: Again very developed. Mushroom, banyard, medium high acidity, integrated but still substantial tannin (can still feel it in my teeth), mineral, gravelly soil, some tea leaf, tobacco, red cherry with some dried blue fruits such as dried prune.
Finish: relatively long. Still some oak, cedar wood,
This is very very good. Especially for the petit price of $18. Like seriously very good and very exemplary example of Bordeaux. Drink now!

after 1-hr decanting (needs at least 1/2 hr): nose is calmer with meadow fruits, slight earthy smoky nose and taste. Very mild tannin. Tobacco short finish. Taste like dried unsweeten berries. Slight acidity in the mouth, and hint of sharpness. No elegancy

Lots of fruits. Cassis, dark cherry, blackberry with supporting expressions of smoke, cedar wood, leather. Such an enjoyable Pauillac at its peak drinkability.

Nice deep color and clarity, this has an expressive nose of cassis, plum, and notes of blackened toast. The palate has elements of cream and plum with a modest dose of oak. Pretty forward and ready to go now, but will hold for at least 3 years. A nice entry level Pauillac.
