Drink during a wine tasting and no formal notes. Smokey mineral nose with apple and citrus. On palate it show plenty of saline mineral, sea salt and citrus but lacking intensity.

All about the ocean. The nose is when you first realize you're near the sea. Mineral, salt spray in the air, perhaps, and maybe a little bit of funk. Think of water, but this is a bone dry wine. Not only the lack of residual sugar, but the fruit presence is very small, and we perceive the "fruit" taste as sweet, so dry is truly the order of the day here. Crushed seashells on the palate, lots of acidity, a little saline. The acidity overbalances everything else. Citrus peel, and your road into the ocean. Not a complex wine at all, yet the road is long, and I've met a couple other wines similar to this, and I like them. Many would discard this wine out of hand. Many would give it no higher than an 80, if that. I just wish the acidity was a little toned down.

Slightly oxidated and woolly nose with apple and lemon. Volcanic notes, pepper and a hint of varnish. Dry, medium bodied and steely palate. Appley fruit with a hint of pineapple and zesty lemon. White pepper, minerality and some almondy roundness in the aftertaste. Really good and intense as hell.

Disznoko Tasting (Taberna Wine Bar, Singapore): Looks like a Riesling with a slight greenish hue. Saline notes on the nose. Surprisingly rather big and concentrated on the palate. No lack of minerality here and does remind me of a Chablis. Interesting but not particularly distinctive. Needs food.
