The 2008 Medlock Ames Cabernet Sauvignon Bell Mountain featured Cherry and Blackberry mid-bodied fruit flavors ... smooth and relaxed 😌 Cabernet with mild tannins.

Opened this up out of our cellar and poured a taste and simply corked the rest on the counter. Opened again this evening, 5 days after initially opening, and has softened wonderfully with no signs of oxidation! By this measure this wine has a very long drinking lifetime ahead. Tonight (3/3/15) this features a deep well of blackberry, black currant, cassis and touches of oak spice and forest floor. Very much liked the character on day 5 versus day 1!

Still hanging on but drink the entire bottle. Loses its fruit if recorked. Has some dark berries and earthy herbs.

Fruit is really revealing itself. Nice cherry, blueberry, huckleberry notes with hints of cocoa dust and sage.

Still has time. Tannins still quite present. Very nice and lots of cherry notes.
