The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. No sediment. Lovely smell of dark berries and a little fruit. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, black currant (cassis) and black pepper. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

Used this to marinate some short ribs then used it for braising. Sampled it and was more than ok with spending nine bucks on this bottle. Hits all the standard carmenere notes.

Flavourful wine. Great pairing for roast beef. Aromas of blackberry, chocolate with a touch of leafiness (green pepper). Taste of blackberry, pepper, smoke and a hint of green pepper.

Quite flavorful, slightly more Bordeaux-like than the "Don Maximiano" Estate single-vineyard. This wine is more integrated, full and toasty than the latter, which was quite dark-fruit and black pepper dominated. Good example of a Carmenere, albeit subdued "green pepper" notes which often define the varietel. Great value, classic Chile.

Black fruit - blackberry, spice - black pepper, vegetable - green pepper. After some time, coffee aroma. Slight oakiness, soft tannin, medium finish.
