  • From a pristine bottle, this wine had a light yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed citrus, green apple, fennel, and white stone.

In the mouth, notable ripeness and glycerine was cut by the powerful acidity. This was a classic sauvignon blanc based food wine. It was rich, quite dry, and had very good length.

This was maybe the best bottle of this I have had yet. It seemed like it was just coming into its zone and may pick up a point with additional time.

  • From a perfect looking bottle, this wine had yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed lemons, white soil, almond paste, and a hint of heat.

This wine took several hours to round out as it went through a couple subtle stages. Don't drink this without enough air. Interesting, the alcohol melded into the wine as it got more air. It was rich but had bracing acidity that might cause one to miss the richness. It had very good length.

This is nice but not first class. Will it get better?

In the mouth, the notable ripeness of this wine was cut by the powerful acidity. It was an excellent wine for food, especially seafood. It had very good length.

This wine should continue to improve with another 5-10 years in the bottle.

  • From a pristine looking bottle, this wine had a light yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed pear, white stone, honeydew, and a hint of almond paste.

Not surprisingly, this needed 3+ hours to show its best. While the attack is quite rich and viscous, the wine finishes firm and long. It has great mouth-feel, fine-grained acidity, and balance.

This wine still seems young and could well improve with age. I would be willing to bet this picks up a point or two with 5+ years of additional age.

  • Pretty wild but quite enjoyable.
