Very light red in colour. The nose is rather funky, with maybe a bit of sulfur initially, but this blows away fairly quickly, leaving aromas of salami. The palate is initially on the red fruits, moving through more bell pepper flavours (though not as aggressively as cab franc), it finishes on notes of hot peppers. The tannins, if there are in any significant amounts, are balanced by a mouthwatering acidity, but the lingering sensation is really that of biting into a pickled pepperoncini. Paired great with some spicy italian food. Very interesting!
