  The color is medium (+) garnet. The nose is clean, medium to medium (+) in intensity, with red cherry, raspberry, dried herbs and some tertiary aromas of tobacco. The palate is bone dry, but balanced by nice, spicy fruit. This wine sees no oak. The acidity is surprisingly medium (+), given the considerable heat of Calabria. The tannins are likewise surprisingly prevalent, despite the six years in the cellar. The alcohol is medium at 13.5%. This is a well-balanced wine, with a medium finish and flavor intensity. It is drinking well not and probably will not improve with further aging.
