Still dark purple color. A wee bit of fruit, but dominated by smoke and chocolate (as others have pointed out). Quite distinct from other typical cabernets - I can't put my finger on its essence. Mellow, smooth, unique. Would not dominate a spicy red meat meal.

At the peak and slightly aging at 4 years. Young fruit is declining to a nice balance of ripeness. Tannins and acids are gone. Would do well at this age with well done beef. Good tasting would have this 4 year old against a 2 or 3 year old of the same label - great conversations would occur!

Dark purple in color. A nice bouquet of vanilla, plum, blackberry, coffee, brown sugar and chocolate. Medium bodied with flavors of bittersweet chocolate, blackberry, plum and oak. Finishes with slightly bitter tannins but soft and with good underlying acidity. This is very good for the price. Served slightly on the cold side.

(Milbrandt Traditions Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) Lightly aromatic with cherry, mocha, and pickly wood spice. The palate is soft and on the light side of medium bodied with tart chocolate flavors and silky tannins. An enjoyable, easy drinking wine where the wood pokes through just a bit too much on occasions. 77% Cabernet Sauvignon 15% Merlot 6% Malbec 2% Petit Verdot. 14.5% alcohol. 14.5% alcohol.

After 4 years in cellar - delicious. Far better than other milbrandt wines. At $9 sale price I wish I had case.

Packed with ripe black cherry and vanilla. The acid keeps it distinct from a California Cab. Hedonistic, nice.
