Retailer Tasting. The wine was medium to dark garnet in colour and threw a lot of sediment. It had a fascinating, evolved nose that kept developing in the glass, with red fruit, chocolate, some vanilla and mushroom as well as earthy and vegetal notes. On the palate, the wine showed dried fruit, chocolate and some coffee as well as earthy and vegetal notes, with medium-level acidity, fully resolved tannin and superb length. The medium-bodied wine was very smooth, very balanced, and very complete. It was more evolved than I expected, but in a good place, and drank well. Drink now.

Started to open up after 1 hour. Dark red fruit, leather, herbaceous note, and vanilla on the nose. 14.5% alcohol. Well-balanced, elegant, and complex. Will likely drink well for the next 5 years.

Viva la Espana moderna (Mövenpick retail store, Hamburg): The first not too young wine to taste, mulberry, some compote, port aromas, persistent body, with depth and mineralic, but again too much of everything, overextracted, 15,5% ABV, which dish do you want to eat with this stuff? No Idea, not for me, *(*-?)

Still impressively young. Dried berries, plum, chocolate, licorice, oak and tobacco. Also, secondary herbal notes. Long lasting finish. 89+
