  • Dinner at Pun Im (Tanjong Pagar, Singapore): Pretty decent, without being quite top-shelf. The nose was quite classic German Riesling with sweet notes of honey and dried apricots, some dried muscats maybe, and then a little petroleum signifying a hint of maturity on the bottle. The palate was nicely balanced, with a good freshness lent to its red apple and honey flavours by some nicely-integrated acidity. Decent finish too. At some point, something that reminded me of Jambu Ayer (a Southeast Asian fruit otherwise known as water apple) came out as well. This was drinking nicely on the night. It will develop a bit more in the bottle, but I am not sure this has the chops to improve much further.

  • Pretty tired. Still shows some nice character but didn't have the zing I expected. Herbal tea on the nose with some fusel and stone fruit. Finishes rather dry but not very exciting. This was a bottle I purchased at the winery in 2006 so I was saving it for sentimental purposes but should have consumed it years ago.

  • Nice golden colour. Typical Riesling nose, pronounced notes of pear and peach. Beautifully complex on the palate: fruit (pear, peach and passionfruit), moderate sweetness and nicely balanced but pronounced acidity make it a true delight. Length is medium. Medium body.

  • Nice, developed nose of honey, peach and a hint of petrol. Palate combines citrus and stone fruits, with honey and wet stone flavors. Acidity keeps it in check though it's very ripe, almost Auslese-like in style. At a good point in its life.

  • When first poured there was a huge aroma of petrol. The petrol mellows a bit to allow some apple/ pear aromas to come through. This reisling is syrupy and mouth coating. Low acidity.
