TWATS XI (Mortons Steak House - Hong Kong, Kowloon): Dark straw, urine. Sim says “Royal Gala apples”. Seems aged n past her prime. Some almonds on the finish, raisons, about to die. Sim in the end declares he no likey.

Bistro Elan Cyn -- A classic maddening French white that on one hand mesmerizes you (with honey, cinnamon, white truffle, exotic white teas, fresh gasoline/petrol and orange marmalade) but on the other hand darts in and out of off-putting funk (oxidation, sherry nose, metallic notes). A mystery, tough love. Some is there that is great, some that is not. A true Francophile's wine, anyone else would send it back to whence it came! Maybe I am drinking my white Hermitages at "closed" stages--I love them younger than this, but this sure isn't near a "magic" point of truffley honey Nirvana.

Nice lemon color with a herbal and floral nose which blew off after about 15 mins. Quite viscious in the mouth. Very dry. Not too bad really but just a bit tight and simple at this point.

Medium dark gold orange color; apple, cider and mineral nose with some oxidation; oxidized, tart apple, mineral and lime palate; medium-plus finish
