This is a lovely example of a great QPR from Northern Rhone. Nothing explosive or mind-blowing on the palate or nose, but the wine is perfectly balanced and right in the zone for drinking. Sadly, the last bottle of the case.

Didn't write down any specific notes other than remembering that it had characteristics of a northern rhone wine, stewed meat, flashy dark fruit, and a depth of flavor that was very appealing. Didn't blow me away but also didn't disappoint.

Clear, deep ruby with purple rim. Clean medium+ intensity developed nose, lots of blackberries, game, green olives, licorice and hints of violets. Dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium+ alcohol, medium+ body, medium+ intensity flavours, blackberries, green olives, silky, good balance and structure. Drink now, but can age well some years. Good quality typical northern Rhône red, well made but lacking some elegance and complexity. QPR is not bad, but it's slightly overpriced.

Gamey nose, eucalyptus, juicy cherry, tea, thyme. Delicious and great value for money.
