Simply amazing LBV with a long life ahead of it. Clearly the best since the 95 vintage which I simply adore. Will definately keep my remaining bottles for 5-10 years more and can perhaps even improve beyond that.

Wow. Could be the vintage port of a lesser house, and be impressive. Powerful and evocative blueberry nose, so glossy and so fresh. Unbelievable texture. No harm putting it in the cellar 'til 2015, at least, though it's quite delicious and drinkable now.

This was very tasty - rich and complex. Classic port nose and flavors. The nose was particularly good early on when the alcohold was a bit strong on the palate. The alcohol blew off after some aeration. Even better on subsequent days after opening. Finished this off in just a few days so didn't get to see how long it would last or if it would improve over a week's time. Very enjoyable and very drinkable. Better than other 2000 LBVs that I can recall tasting. A definite repurchase.

Reddish purple in color. The nose is chocolatly with earth and hints of new wood followed by anise and cherry. Rich wine in the mouth with a clove and anise spice element. This is followed by wood and dark cherries. The finish is long and lingering and the bright acidity helps clean the palate. 4/5

Wine House Advanced: Frty, pleasant, complex, dried frts w/youth, med_sweetness, yummy, very well made. Red-blk currant, plum, prune, oak, spice, choc., cloves; med. everything, off-dry--I loved this--it’s exactly what it says--vintage that’s ready NOW! and tating well.
