Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Not sure if this wasn’t just a little oxidised as it had some coffee notes. It was a little funky and wild and woolly. There was also some volatility, but it did have a core of tasty sweet red fruit. I’m not making it sound very good, am I? We did finish the bottle.

  • 2010 being a cold year is clearly evidenced by this wine. On the nose there are herbal elements side by side with fresh red cherries. Slightly chaptilized. On the palate very stringent and buttoned up. Not much sex appeal here! Zesty and a bit underripe, which I guess is what to expect from a Savigny in 2010!
