Many people here comment that this one is a blanc de blancs but it actually is not (Vignes de Montgueux on the other hand sure is): there is 30 % of Pinot Noir in the blend. 30-year old vines on chalky soils, aged in neutral oak, 2 year on the lees. Smoky as hell on the nose with notes of apricot, green apple, chalk and iodine. Not much in the way of developed notes really, but really fantastic in a straight-from-the-soil kind of a way. On the palate quite dry and driven - not very concentrated yet has this tremendously attractive ethereal quality to it. Awesome mousse: quite mouthfilling and very caressing. Fairly restrained fruit-wise but that is not a negative: this is all about texture, energy and savory and earthy qualities. Once again a wine that implies a very light winemaker’s touch, this comes off as unusually refined in its price range.

Had this as the 1st drink of the night at our fornightly wine session. A Blanc de blanc which means its 100% chardonnay.
Pale straw in the glass with lovely minerality coupled with dried fruit & citrus aromatics that reflect the purest expression of the terroir. The palate is vibrantly alive with crisp citrus & melon flavors that are backed by deft acidity & dazzling minerality. The finish resonates with succulent citrus notes. I am not much of a champagne drinker but this was a champagne that i wouldn't mind drinking again. Would love to pair it with lobster or even oysters given that its a blanc de blanc.

Small grower Champagne tasting with Munskänkarna, featuring some of the new generation of growers (Stockholm): Yellow colour. Powerful nose with ripe yellow apples, bread, white flowers and some development. Medium bodied, very dry palate with yellow apples, bready, good acidity and an aftertaste with yellow apples. Drinkable now, can develop more, 88 p. Disgorged 7 December 2011. The (base) vintage was not indicated on the bottle, but may have been 2007 according to information in the price list of the dealer.

Toujours aussi fin et minéral. Un vin d'une grande buvabilité, très équilibré et sur une finale sur les agrumes.
