This needed a couple hours of air to really shine. It was very good. It almost tasted like a Barolo. Nose and palette of cherries, dusty earth and rose. The palette had a hint of raisin and a little plum too. Really nice acidity and well integrated tannins with some very nice sweetness on the finish, which was very long. Never had aged Priorat before but this was really excellent.

Eðalklúbbur, smakk #3 vor 2022 (Hlíðarás 10): Ljós litur og farinn að sýna mikil öldrunareinkenni. Farið að bera á oxun í ilmi. Þarna voru líka brunatónar og sveskjur. Í munni fundust svipaðir tónar. Gott vín en á líklega ekki mikið eftir áður en fer að halla undan fæti. Það gæti þá gerst hratt miðað við standið á þessari flösku.

Contrary to previous notes, this was a real pleasure. The wine showed a lot of power in the fruit; plums, cherries and a spices. After a while the usual bits of leather, all nicely aged. For me it would be at its peak- with quite some year left in the bottle.

last few notes are pretty spot on... brown color. On open, strong notes of maple syrup, port-like aromas, stewed prunes and raisins. Unmistakable tawny port flavors on the palate. Surprisingly smooth on the palate, slick, and devoid of any structure whatsoever. Definitely well past its prime.
