  • A wow stinging cherry and mineral nose. Needed a good hour to soften and show. Then the palate has lovely succulent and mouth-watering cherry fruit with a coalescing layered intensity. So youthful but so seductive for it's purity of fruit. The finish is taut and intense with crunchy mineral and red spice notes. This is among my favorite bottlings in Burgundy for under a billion dollars. 95+

  • One of those old school rustic classics that is rather timeless in its interpretation of the terroir. Black and red fruits, ripe cranberries, blueberries, orange rind, really spicy, smoky, earthy mushrooms and rather compact. Also got some vanilla oak in the background, but pretty much integrated. Beautiful mouth watering acid and fine dusty tannins. For me this straddles the perfect spot of being both serious and enjoyable all at once. I think this is probably reaching its peak, and has legs to go another 5-7 years.

  • When this bottling hits, it represents an extraordinary Burgundy for the price. A bit rustic and crunchy in a good way with deep dark red fruits and a great spicy intensity on the finish. Mouthwatering acidity gives this excellent freshness. Very drinkable now although more tertiaries to come. 94+ Better than the last bottle which must've been slightly off.

  • Showing a slight browning in the color. A high-acid vintage for this wine countered by tangy dark cherry fruit. It has a crunchy texture and the finish is quite mineral-driven with good complexity and fine red-spiced intensity. This was a bit off-kilter for a while but really calmed down and integrated by the last glass. I would decant this for at least an hour if I were going to open another bottle anytime soon. 92+

  • Superb Premier Cru Burgundy with lots of energy and verve to go along with the delicious and crisp cherry fruit. Very bright with a zippy texture and a great finish with a complex mineral crunch and red spice notes. Probably a few more years to reach peak but no problem drinking it now. No mistaking this for anything other than Burgundy from a firm, taut vintage. 94+
