My first NZ sauvignon, and it wasn't what I expected. Quite restrained and crispy. The nose opened up after an hour, and gave the wine some additional points. In the end I really liked it, with the lovely smell & taste of flowers and gooseberrys.

Pale gold. Deep nose, a bit more restrained these days, no grass, soft tropical fruits, gooseberry. Full bodied palate, smooth, yellow fruits, crisp citric acidity. Decent length. This is more rounded than it used to be but maybe a bit anonymous.
