Pretty good for an 18 dollar bottle of wine. It show varietal charaterisitcs of p. sirah... dark, inky color, full mouth feel, big fruit and some heat despite only 13.5%. I have been a fan and consumer of Switchback Ridge P. Sirah since vintage 2000 and the S R is an amazing wine every year... but considering that those wines are 3x the price, this offering is really decent. Enjoy with lamb or big flavored meats such as grilled Kobe steaks. It also makes a good red wine sauce.

Inky purple cassis color, almost indigo in the glass.
Nose: Wonderful, layered mix of orange, vanilla, and toast, with a bit of tobacco and rosemary.
Taste: Tart cherry flavor and dominates up front with medium tannins. The acidity carries nicely into the finish with some of that vanilla sweetness and oak emerging at the end.
Overall, a really nice petit sirah at great QPR.
