Decanted 1hour, cellared almost 9 years to the day. The Rothschild name is of course synonymous with the left bank, my understanding is the the grapes sourced for this cuvée come from young vines on the estate property. This bottle appears to be quite lively with fully integrated tannins but also seems that there be no hurry to consume though I found it to be a bit one dimensional there was enough fruit, graphite and earth to make it a nice accompaniment to our thick bone in pork chops. Probably not the best QPR choice however!

Gorgeous, clear ruby. Nose of dark fruit and jam. En bouche I find heat, minerals, fruit, tannins in that order. Not well balanced. A poor representation of Pauillac.
