Was a great match for grilled filet mignon wrapped in bacon. Drinking really beautifully right now. I wouldn't hold onto it much longer but it has evolved from its more youthful new world flavors into a mature wine that shows old world characteristics. Elegant soft tannins, some damp cellar aromas, and still showing red fruit elements.

Popped and sat for three hours. Cassis and cherries on the nose, very well integrated with good, bright acidity and medium red fruits on the palate. Drinking very well and can't imagine it's going to get much better.

Cassis, menthol and black olive predominate. Very powerful and youthful wine that is still fruit driven with lavish oak and firm tannins. Seems like this will continue to improve as all the components are in balance.

Has aged nicely. Needs an hour to open. Good with spicy food but not with chocolate.

This was the Bodegas Caro Cosecha. Strong palate with a bit of bbq. But nothing that stood out to me.
