Plenty of primary fruits - plum, dark berries, chocolate and oak notes. However, perhaps this is a bit too young and not yet ready. Palate wise - not as balanced and smooth but still has plenty of potential to be revisited

Like a soft fruity Cru Bourgeois (perhaps not a bad thing given how hard some of them can be in their youth). Berry fruit, soft tannin, lowish acidity. Medium finish and straightforward. Drink now and over the next 5 years. Was expecting more, disappointing.

Of the two "parents" it's closer to Nicolas Catena Zapata. This is a unusually biased vintage towards Cabernet Sauvignon (83%). Tannins are high, ripe and fine-grained. It is slightly reductive in style, and needs both time in cellar and some air before drinking. It has some potential to gain a slightly higher rating, but I'm not completely convinced. Try again in 3-5 years.
