A nice and rich wine in the extracted Paso Robles style. Gave it about 1 hour of air prior to tasting. Drank from a Riedel Vinum merlot stem. Reticent nose of violets and cedar. Full bodied and fruit forward attack with rich mid palate of raspberry, clove, baking spice, and a hint of black pepper. A higher score would be merited ( if you like this style ) if the finish was not so fleeting. Not happy with the price point, but realize only 10 barrels produced. Prefer a Lillian or Alban Reva if I am going to pony up $80 + for a Cali Syrah.
