This has developed into a rich and somewhat viscous fruit bomb of a Riesling. It's just packed with peach and quince fruit. Delicious if you're in that kind of a mood.

Good depth and flavor development. Golden hue, and acidity makes for a very nice finish. Light mouthfeel, though sweetness is present (one tablemate found this too sweet for his tastes, the other 3 we're happy to take his share!). Needs some spice in the food to offset.

Two from the Nahe; 11/20/2010-12/1/2010 (Chicago): This is a big, fruity, in-your-face Riesling at the moment. Not showing much in the way of age at all, it bursts with tropical fruit on the nose, and the palate is a mouthful of pineapple juice, with some grapefruit acidity too. It is quite sweet still and fairly simple. Delicious, but not very interesting right now. Under screwcap.

Full mineral and white fruit filled nose. Palate has medium body with sweetness ranging between Kabinett and Spat. Rich with minerality and sweet white and red fruits. Refreshing acidity draws out the palate and finish. Excellent and a raging QPR.

Lots of acid, moderate amount of sweetness (Thiese says only mildly chaptalized). A very gulpable, refreshing, enjoyable wine. In much the same genre as Leitz' Dragonstone. Maybe even more acid in evidence.

(Hexamer "Quarzit") This had that wonderful sweet eneveloping minerality that marks nice young German wine. Pure red fruits allied with great cut and delineation. Fantastic. This winery just keeps getting better and better every year.
