This poured a deep straw color and showed cooked red apple and deep honey notes on the nose. The palate presents much fresher than the nose, with lime zest and yellow orchard fruit. Much preferred earlier bottles. For my palate this is at the tail end of the drinking window.

Slightly different experience than my last bottle. Rather than tropical notes, the palate was dominated by full on ripe tropical fruits - notable pineapple. Very smooth and rounded. A nice pairing with a range of white-friendly small plates at a local restaurant, but I liked the structure of the last bottle more.

Excellent chard right in my wheel house. Just a touch of oak and generous tropical notes. Top 3 for me in a tasting of 9 chards from around the world. 92+

Monthly Tasting Group: Worldwide Chardonnay (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Light medium gold color. Drank 1 glass over an hour. I thought this good, lemon, a moderate amount of tropical fruit, less perceptable minerality especially with its peers in the flight ('10 Boillot Meursault Gennand '09 Mount Eden), but still good. My third of the flight.

A good wine, well-produced, nicely balanced, but perhaps a bit too reserved for its type, perhaps lacking a certain complexity that I expect of both Failla's wine-making skill and Hudson's character. I'm well-versed with both.
