I bit of cellar funk aroma that quickly blew off followed by a lovely bouquet of provencal herbs, cassis and vanilla. Full bodied with loads of cherry, tobacco, lively acidity and mouth coating tannins. Long finish. Guess I'm gonna have to let all my VP Estate Cabs age like this.

This starts with a big dark fruit nose. It was decanted for an hour before the first glass. The fruit flavors, dark fruit and cherry mixed with an herbal quality and good dry tannins. "She" is really liking these tannins, "he " is thinking they have become more pronounced on the second glass and that the score is going down. Both agree the flavors are well layered and rich. The finish is long with a little more of the cherry showing up. Another year or two might help smooth out the tannins, but "she's" glad they are drinking it now.

(Va Piano Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley) A brooding wine with black currant, cherry, and high toned herbal notes. The palate has firm, slightly dry tannins, and abundant cherry flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
