Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 84.5 points

  • Better than previous bottle. Deep red center, red rim with moderate signs of age. Herb and grass from the cabernet, ripe plums and darker cherries from the merlot. Nose takes a while to open up. Gets a bit more meaty with time, showing some oak overtones. Smooth in the mouth, a little sweet almost, red fruits, modest length, some dust on the finish. Nose promises more than is delivered in the mouth.
Drinks well now, no reason to think it will improve. Ok for the price, but there is better to be had.

  • Not sure if the bottle was bad or not - brown rim and nose suggest oxidation. Hopefully this is the case, because if not the rest of the bottles won't be drunk.
