Magnum.

Dark red fruits, plum, florals, funk, and green pepper on the nose. Dark red fruits and plum, oregano and eucalyptus. Medium weight with good structure. Tannins are ripe and approachable. Still presents as somewhat young; should drink well for another decade.

Second Sunday Group: 2015 Chianti Classico Riservas (Eagle Brook CC): Courtesy of MiY. Dark color. Notes of currant and florals with just a bit of ripe plum mixed in as well. Medium-bodied. Abundant fruit on the palate. There's a lush elegance to this wine that is very appealing.

Drank a few weeks before the holidays and having again tonight. Enjoying it more tonight. Medium in color. The nose showed loads of green pepper in the glass. My wife detected smoke and oak. A sniff in the decanter reveals lots of cherries, and now I’m getting some in the glass, plus mineralogy. The taste is balanced, mild tannins, some minerals and fruit on the taste/aftertaste. Drink now or hold another 3-5 years. Good complexity without being overpowering.
