80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. 40% New Oak. Owned by famous consultant Stephane Derenoncourt and his wife Christine. Drinking great at the moment. Quite mature. Plummy nose, but starting to be more of a dried fruit with chocolate, tobacco and leather. The palate is silky smooth with more dried fruit notes. A wine with primary and secondary notes well-integrated with emerging tertiary notes.

Milky Merlot & Cab Franc - does it get any better on a Friday night?
Love wines that evolve appreciably in the glass - Unsurprisingly fruit forward wine, followed by precise tannins. The finish is not long but very refreshing.
At its best right now.. I think. Super balanced, nice nose, red fruits...something tells me the Derencourt's know what they're doing here.

Tasted next to a barrel sample of the 2018. Ripe fruit on nose and palate, spicy, generous, open with good acidity and overall balance on the palate. Again spicy towards the finish. The tannins are a bit drying in comparison to its youngest sibling and there is less depths and length. Still very well made. 89-91
Expressive smells of dark fruits. Palate is full of fruity flavors: plums, cherries... fine, elegant, fresh with a good length Already in a great phase. Drink the next in 5 years

Stewed plums, black cherry, and robust earthy notes the nose.
This is a really big wine with muted tannins now. Suave & silky, rich mid-palate but with an oaky, musky, smokey finish - big time merlot.
