  • Didn't love it as much as I thought I would. Dark ruby color. Slightly muted nose, revealing little fruit and almost secondary flavors of earth, tobacco. Similar on the palate, still showing noticeable tannins. Maybe an off bottle?

  • Nose - fruit, earth, damp cellar
Mouth - really nice, immaculately balanced, a bitter ripe fruit punch, touch of coffee , lovely acidity - this wine is fresh, complex, and fruity, has everything I love about Bordeaux and affordable to boot.

  • Nose full of dark fruits, violets and hints of chocolate. Really coats the tongue with a medium finish. Drinking nicely.

  • This went very well with BBQ'd Strip Loin with Chimmichurri. Stood up to garlic and tartness of sauce and supported medium rare steak. Tannins were integrated and wide mouthfeel although finish was short-medium. Aging well as still fruit dominant.

  • Dark to very dark purple. Nose of black cherries, violets and blue beries, very much in the blue fruit spectrum. On the palate a bit of a paradox. There is ample bitterness from the concentration, good freshness and overall still soft enough tannins. The mid palate is quite airy though and the finish very short. In a nutshell, to much of a show initially that that can't fully been followed up. The good point is the freshness though. Anyway, decent commercial Merlot from Bordeaux without much terroir aromas. 86-89 depending on your preference for this style. PS: This is from one of the right bank's most experienced and talented consultant onologue, Stephane Derenoncourt
