Beautiful dark golden in color. Initial oxidized nose with old wood, grilled pineapple and salted caramel on the nose. Good acidity and complex flavors of caramel, tropical fruits and beautiful acidity. This wine started off chilled, and it showed more oxidation, but as it slowly warmed up, it really blossomed into floral and tropical fruit notes on the nose and the pallet.

Caramel, figs and raisins in the bouquet. On the palate a lot of sweetness like honey, beautiful acidity, good length and an oxidized impression. Really nice.

Sammamish Port Club - March 2023 (Seattle, Washington): Bottled in 2021. Dark amber-brown in color with yellow edges. Tropical friuts, honey and oak on the nose. Smooth notes of caramel, honey, vanilla, and light brown sugar on the palate. Very smooth.

This is fine, but for me, not a thrilling white port. I prefer my white port to have a bit of lift: not some crazy level of acidity, but enough to give a bit of definition to the fruit. But the Andreson 20 is a rather syrupy sweet, somewhat dull VP, amber in color, and with a nose more dominated by molasses and maple syrup than anything else, although I do find some citrus inflections when I really hunt for more to say about this. An obvious option to pair with a very rich chocolate dessert or a sweet pastry made with nuts.
