Deep golden color. Nose is tropical, woody, floral, spicy. Feels lush and a little oily in the mouth with tropical fruit, oak, spice, and mushroom flavors along with a wet slate component. Acidic and a tiny bit hot. Barrel-aged Godello, 13.5% alcohol. Around $35.

Not quite sure what put me off, but this had a pronounced "sour" note (too much acidity?) among otherwise impressive qualities. It was tight initially, with the fruit needing some air to reveal itself, but there was good richness and minerality. I don't think this was flawed, but maybe I caught this bottle at an awkard moment, or the grape may just not work for me.

From memory: Bracing acidity and muted aromas followed by rich, spicy, and complex flavors on the palate. I would lay this down for a few years to let it unwind.

Light gold in color. The nose is a mushroomy oak palate with nuances of pineapple overlaid. Medium acidity and creamy in the mouth. The body is medium to big with a creamy richness throughout. The palate has some of the pineapple of the nose with a creamy peach custard like flavor. Great wine from a grape unknown outside of Spain. 4/5

Clean, dry Italian white. A little minerality Tasted like clam and lemon. A bit of grass, but not a very strong nose. A great fish and oysters wine.
