Brownish liquor Loads of hers on the nose Herbaceous palate. A little bitter. Sweet overtones. LONG finish. A decent aperitif for the price point. +1 PT. Interested to try better producers.

An herbal liqueur from Bologna created by Stanislao Cobianchi in 1885. The name of this liqueur intended to pay homage to the second queen of Italy, Princess Helen of Montenegro, on occasion of her marriage to Victor Emmanuel III, the Italian sovereign at that time.
Color : deep brown amber. Nose : orange zest, red cherries, tea. Palate : sweet attack turns bitter and herbal. An easy bitter.
