Different taste than prior bottle so drank over two days to minimize the variables that affect tasting impressions. As we all know, the bottle variations are more often due to the taster than the wine. Whatever the explanation, I'll report it as I experience it. ...Powerful nose of black fruit and floral elements. Relatively stiff tannins almost tame the floral bouquet. In a blind tasting I might have thought, Southern Rhone fruit but with firmer tannins. Not what I was looking for in a Mendoza malbec.

Dark garnet color. Lively nose of black cherry, black raspberry, and some earthy spice notes. Flavor starts full and then lightens some on the palate. Nicely balanced tannins and acidity, a noteworthy finish, and a wine I will go back to as an excellent Mendocino malbec.

This tastes like plums that were roasted over a very smokey campfire and then doused with vanilla extract. I don't like it at all, but that's just me.
