Dark red and black fruit, I have the impression as if the maturity has been pushed a bit too much. The newer vintages are definitely more elegant. Nevertheless good and now fully open for business.

Drunk over two days, on the first day still pretty tight, mainly black fruit with earthy elements, on day two more open, in addition more spicy notes, round and nice. Means decant or give your remaining bottles some additional time in the cellar.

Proper Pommard, just about broachable at 10 years old but in need of time to show what it's capable of. Soft black fruits envelope a rocky, earthy core and there is a tannic backbone to hang the package from. You can enjoy this now but will improve. ***1/2

This is the less advanced of Glantenay’s 2010 lineup, red and black fruit, cranberries, cassis, tannic, good density and length, will wait with the next a year or two.

2010 Burgundies Blind (Lavandou): Poured blind. Maybe my favorite of the night. I wasn't sure whether this was one of the Rugiens or the Ile des Vergelesses, but the stoniness that seems characteristic of both terroirs was certainly a feature here and made it one of the only wines where I was able to discern a soil signature under the primary veneer.
