Gereiftes Rubin.

Biodynamic farming, 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels (30% new oak), 13% vol.
PnP and enjoyed over two days. On the nose nice mature notes of leather and underwood, red fruits and some spicy notes, on the palate medium to full bodied, slightly coarse tannin, medium acidity and a long finish. Not much different on day 2, perhaps a bit less rustic and more elegant, but could have been just a matter of temperature as the wine was slightly cooler on day 2.
Solid, classic Bordeaux, already quite mature, drink within the next 6 years. 90-91 points.

Not an extravagant rich wine, but more elegant and smooth. Not much bouquet even in Riedel glass, but taste is there. 32Euro at castle. Still tannin present - not old at all still - impressive. A good wine that everyone will appreciate but not all will appreciate its subtleness and details. 85% Merlot - 15% Cabernet Franc. A bit too expensive for me - do not buy again. 449,- at https://loegismose.dk/chateau-fonroque--oko/p/67583

MW Institute 2011 Bordeaux Tasting: Floral and charcoal nose. The palate lacks a little depth but it is decently drinkable.

Lunch at Le Bernadin (Le Bernadin, New York): Medium-bodied with good fruit flavour. Paired well with the bass in Merlot-Black Olive Emulsion.
