  Similar to the last two tastings, with a big balsamic element this time. Paired with some Maria’s brought by the neighbors, after a devastating loss in my life. It hit.

  Still firing on all cylinders — and a few more. Leather, dark fruit, cedar and peppery finish for days. Pretty sure I still have another bottle. God, I hope.

  Brick edges show the age. It took a while for the fruit to come out, but when it did, it was elegant and stout. The wine was brooding and vibrant all at once.

  Glorious. Fruit and leather and earth, all fantastically balanced, with a still-vibrant nose and deep, textured mid-palette. Delicious beyond measure. Paired wonderfully with Sunday gravy at Rao's Hollywood.
