87 pts

Drinking impressively well -- seamless integration of fruit and suave structure. The 2010 vintage has done a nice job of taming any Pommard rough edges at a relatively young age of 12. Should drink nicely for a decade+

I'm a big fan of this producer, particularly for the money. Rugiens is also a pet favorite premier cru. And '10 is dynamite. That all made for a very nice wine here, with suave red and dark fruits and very bright acids. But this isn't quite as good as it could be. It's a touch simple and doesn't have the intensity, weight, or complexity of a top-tier burg. I suspect this will improve.

Aerated in decanter 2 hrs, iirc, served blind. Seems to be in a good place now, with a combination of crunchy, sappy red fruit, spice, and avg+ length. Someone guessed Pommard, but I could only identify the region; the vintage came across more like 2009, but maybe that was just me. Will hold at this level for some time++, but I'd hold if I had more. recommended
