  • Wink has it. I liked the rich orchard fruits and the balancing citrus and crispness. Mineral and tension were a bit lacking, but a really nice wine with a range of food.

  • Made in Burgundy from Pinot Beurot, one of many independent color mutations of Pinot Noir collectively known as Pinot Gris. Light gold color with a hint of salmon. Nose of peach, citrus, honey, and flowers. Flavorful palate of crisp peach, lime, butter, & minerals. Excellent length. Vibrant, food-friendly acidity. Lots of personality. I've never seen a Pinot Gris this color.

  • Popped and poured. Light to medium-light brilliant gold. Forward nose of apples, pear, honeysuckle, fennel, paraffin, and minerals. Additional florals develop with aeration. Medium-light body, nicely concentrated. Excellent flavors of freshly sliced apple lightly drizzled with honey are not too dissimilar from the nose and there is again a distinct impression of minerals. Moderate acidity and lush mouthfeel combine to create a lasting impression on the lingering close.
This is a delicious wine, and one which hardly budged over 3 nights. That said, it's hard to say if this will improve much with cellaring, but it's quite youthful and will certainly go on for many years (my guess is that it will improve, and develop a more honeyed complexity). So neat to taste Pinot Gris from Burgundy.

  • Clear, light pale golden. Sweet flowery apple nose. Medium bodied, clean mouth filling slightly sweet rich apple with acidic finish. Fruity, expressive well balanced but not complex.
