Powerful on those, with eucalyptus, macerated red fruit, liqueur, and a hint of cocoa. Completely one-note on the palate, paradoxically lacking in vigour despite the 16.9 per cent alcohol. Perfectly pleasant and surprisingly drinkable (not hot), but still somewhat underwhelming given the effusive critical response. On a more subjective note, this is a cynical monument to Parkerisation. No terroir, no identity, no depth.

Powerful full bodied red, lots of blackberry, ripe fruits with a strong and long finish with ripe tannins. But 16.9% alcohol not well cover.
