This is truly an exceptional, well constructed wine. This Bordeaux blend explodes out of the glass with a unparalleled floral blast. One of the more delicious Central Coast blends, Bernardus combines mainly Cabernet and Merlot with delicate accents of Petit Verdot and Cab Franc. As it evolves, I got distinct aromas of bramble bus, dark cherries, tobacco skin, smoky oak and sweet pecans and it just kept coming. This is a wonderfully lucious, complex wine that is very well made. Wish I had more of this one!

Currant & Chocolate color. Cherry, cedar, plum all complimented by spice in the nose. Stone fruits, blueberry, Long finish with some heat. Luscious yo say the least.

Took a bit to open up, about an hour and a half. On the nose the wine has ripe, dark berry fruit, black pepper, smoke, and cured meat. In the mouth the wine if full bodied, with creamy fruit and soft tannins. I think the wine has another 5+ years of life left in it, and will continue to evolve down the line positivley as well; but is also drinking really nice right now.

w roast chicken in Wyoming, first night! Solid cabernet, maybe needs some more time or needs some more decanting (gave it 30 mins). Good dark color, good diverse nose, on palate the fruit and spice were a bit unbalanced but as the bottle progressed got a bit better. For the price a solid wine that will pair well with red meat.

Full bodied, dark, and austere. The wine has a smoky note that was very interesting and went very well with the steak we were having. Delicious.
