  • Wine Reviews: Rosé: SRP: $11. The nose is seductive – fresh strawberries, some cinnamon and clove, and ripe raspberries. The palate is fantastic -- well-balanced, well-structured, great acidity, and tasty.

  • Simple Hedonisms Rosé Panel; 5/1/2012-8/5/2012: Looking for an inexpensive, interesting Rosé - look no further. The Pueblo del Sol Tannat from Uruguay is a keeper, and it's Rosé is one as well. Best of all, Bay area and LA wine lovers can get it at K&L. (<100 bottles left.)

At <$10 it drinks as well as most Rosé twice the price.

Color is a medium pink with faint salmon tinge.
On The Nose one gets watermelon, bright cherry notes, rose petal.
In The Mouth its a burst of mouthwatering of tart watermelon jolly rancher, young strawberry, pomegranate.
The wine delivers bright fruit on the front palate, nice balance mid palate, and a lingering acidity on the finish, that makes you reach for more. And more. And more.

Recommendation: Buy a case. Now. This will easily hold, and deliver through Christmas and the Holidays, and all Turkey needs some tart, bright Rosé.

I am very impressed with this brand, ordering their Sauvignon Blanc as well, for my June SB panel.
