  Well...this wine has really turned itself around in the last 10 years. I first had this wine in 2014 and did not enjoy it a bit. Now it is really showing beautifully. Still a fuller-bodied Burg (especially for Chambolle), but it has now shed some of that puppy-fat glycerin and surmature black fruit that was obscuring its Burgundian genes back in 2014. Still, there appears to be a strong producer signature on these wines...however, the same is most certainly true of Leroy, Dujac and some other esteemed producers. So for many, that is unlikely to diminish the pleasure that comes from a bottle like this. I don't personally feel this wine is Grand Cru quality, but it is considerably better than its hierarchical village level classification.

  Loved this wine. Didn't take formal notes, but it was elegant and still so young. Loving the dried floral and spice tones and the core of tart fruit.

  Just a lovely, pure glass of Pinot. The nose is so very pretty. What it lacks in depth it more than makes up for in charm. Worth the hype and the price ? Who can say.

  Reading some of the reviews on this wine would make you wonder why people would pay a steep price for this wine. I would quote someone dear to me: am I the only one? the only one here at least who understands why. The best Tremblay wines have this unique core that is super compelling if not addictive. It has some similarity to the Rouget wines, which then is not totally surprising given their family ties. This Cabottes is just wonderful. I wish I could describe in words what make her wines so uniquely great. It hits you on the middle of your palate, it has some link to chestnut, but with greater complexity and more feminine. It is this typical tremblay feature that makes these wine to die for, and explain its steep price. As good as it gets. Fully mature now and highly enjoyable now. A treat! I love Cecile and what she accomplishes
