Consistent with previous notes 1.5 years ago. Took about 45-min to open up. In a peak window and drinking nicely now. Drink 2020-2024. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 93.

I have said this before, this is a chateauneuf du pape in disguise. Lots of cherries and dark red/black forest fruit on the nose and palette. This comes from parcels that are close to the clos du caillou chateauneuf du pape la reserve. It is simply an amazing cote du rhone. Easily can hold quite a bit longer; feeling young and vibrant with lots of fruit and complexity. Unfortunately this is my last bottle of 2010.

Now in a perfect drinking window. Decanted for an hour which helped. Bags of ripe dark fruits, but the finish is long with hints of violets, lavender and strawberries. A wonderful wine. I have a few of their 2009 CdP reserve. It must be something else.

Opened and let air for 1.5 hours ahead of mixed grill leftovers. Improved from our last tasting a few years ago. Big, heavy, thick wine with a meaty grip. Rose garden with strawberry blossoms on the nose, with the palate bringing black and red licorice, blueberries, strawberry jam, savory herbs, garrigue, and blackberry pie into the refined and balanced finish. This is likely entering a peak window over the next few years but is loaded and concentrated enough to drink through 2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
