Young Marquis d'Angerville Volnay Clos des Ducs Dinner (Formento's - Chicago IL): Mature apple aromas with floral notes and good power. Similar flavors, just slightly less intense. Butterscotch hints. still good structure. Best when first popped and poured, and while still good a few hours later, clearly less bright or fun.

Lots of ripe apple aromas with stone fruit hints. Good spice with some new oak still evident. Charming and fresh on palate, still fresh and slightly fat. If served blind, I would have thought younger...prob a 2004 1er. Moderate length and finesse. Will hold up well for another 5+ years.

Very closed, after an hour decanted some citrus and flowers with a touch of green veg and flintsmoke - a reduced white burg! Very taught and nervy, very young, very good.

7/1/2012 same day as I bought it I wanted to try. Decanted 1:30 in advance. Every 30 min's better. Flochke liked but still not top for here. Nose ok, taste not as good as nose and short. More sugar and rounded requested

Blind White Tasting with Top 2000 White Burgundy (Les Nomades - Chicago IL): Better than the last bottle from a year ago from the same case. This was also large and firm with a meaty character and good density. Just not as complete and complex as the Bouchere in the next glass.
