  • Appearance: Bright and clear, deep purple in color, with paler rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, medium (-) intensity, with developing aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, smoke, liquorice and black pepper.
Palate: Dry with medium (+) and lively acidity, medium tannin of ripe and silky texture, the wine has medium (+) alcohol and medium (+) body, showing medium (+) intensity flavors of black cherry, prune, smoke, liquorice and blackcurrant leaf , finishing with medium length.
Conclusion: Good quality mid-priced Chilean Merlot, with a relatively weak nose though showing a fair complexity. On the palate it is actully better, with a good balance of acidity and body, a high alcohol level but not warming, and fairly intense flavors of reasonable complexity. Finishing with a reasonable length, the wine is ready to drink now but has potential for further ageing of another 3-5 years.
