This should have been opened sooner, but we just never got around to it until now. It was good, but likely could have been better. The aromas and fruit were nice when first opened and then gradually lost steam with aeration. It did remind me that it had been a little bit since we opened a California Cab. We're ready for another one soon.

Wine Spectator School: ABCs of Wine Tasting (Clarkston, MI): Ruby red in color with only medium intensity (much less than a typical cab). Nonetheless, this cab surprised with moderately intense aromas and flavors of blackberry, dried fruit, oak, bell pepper, and anise or cinnamon. Light/medium bodied, with moderate acidity and tannins and a moderate length finish. Very enjoyable and a great QPR for Cali cab, this bottle was quickly drunk.
